Sump Pump Installation

Typically, a French drain system in a crawl space or basement will have sump pumps connected to it. Once the French drain system is installed, the sump pump will be installed at the lowest point. One must then determine where the feed line is going to be installed per a sketch (this location may need to be moved in the field, but this will be determined by the foreman/production manager).


Check Out Our Process


  • Dig a 24” x 24” hole at the low point (in a basement, break out the concrete slab to the same dimensions).
  • Once the hole is prepped and leveled, lay a small layer of clean river rock at the base.
  • Set the basin in the hole and ensure it’s level.
  • Ensure the drainage has a positive connection to the sump basin.
  • Backfill the hole with clean river rock.
  • Partially assemble the discharge line to the sump pump.
  • Once the basin is in place, set the sump pump at the bottom.
  • Finish assembling the sump pump to the discharge line.
  • Complete a flood test by filling the basin/drain pipe with water, plug in the sump, and ensure the system functions properly with no leaks.
  • Once the sump pump is installed and functioning, place the lid on the basin. If installing in a basement, mix and re-pour concrete as needed to match the existing slab.
